The National Rifle Association is the nation’s premier organization in the effort to protect and defend the Second Amendment rights of American citizens. Simmons earned the endorsement only after an exhaustive review of both his legislative record, as well as his answers to a comprehensive, nearly thirty question issue survey.

As a Representative, Simmons has been a strong voice for law-abiding gun owners. His record includes helping to pass the Castle Doctrine, and oppose changes that would weaken the state’s pre-emption laws.

“I believe strongly that the Constitutional Rights of every American must always be protected – be it from liberal judges or politicians who would seek to diminish those rights. As Representative, my record is one of always standing strong for the 2nd Amendment, and always will be,” Simmons stated.

Simmons also received the highest “qualified” rating possible from Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC). FOAC is Pennsylvania’s largest citizen-led group dedicated to preserving the 2nd Amendment. Their rating process takes into account both voting records and issues positions derived from an in-depth candidate questionnaire.
